倪顺生，男，国家研究员级高级工艺美术师，江苏省工艺美术大师，中国工艺美术学会、协会会员，中国工业设计协会会员，中国宜兴紫砂文化研究会理事，美国罗丹壶艺协会高级鉴定师，中国宜兴紫砂收藏鉴赏专业委员会高级顾问，山东省茶文化协会紫砂专业委员会名誉会长。

1938年，生于宜兴市丁蜀镇制壶世家，自幼随父亲倪祥林、邵宝琴学艺。

1954年，进宜兴蜀山陶瓷合作社（紫砂工艺厂前身），拜朱可心大师为师，亦得裴石民先生指点。学徒时风卷葵评比第一名。

1958年，带艺徒，紫砂中学学生第一批转进厂当徒工任小辅导，傅受紫砂技艺。协助学生钱午生改革工具，得厂部嘉奖。

1960年，在朱可心大师的带领下，倪顺生和王寅仙一起赴北京参加轻工业部召开的“全国工艺美术研讨会。

1961年，创作《五福蟠桃壶》参加宜兴陶瓷公司召开的首届技术革新运动会，荣获紫砂厂“唯一健将”称号。

1963年，厂部为了提高小辅导本身技艺，重新回到朱可心大师的身边学习，其中有倪顺生、曹婉芳、许成权等五人，在技艺上有了新的提高。

1983年，为了发展紫砂半成品，厂部加设一个半成品车间，任技术总辅导，负责4个班近百人，品种翻新，技术质量。

1987年，进厂研究所专门从事创新设计。设计了《蝶恋花》、《夏乐》、《五福蟠桃》、《顺泉》等作品。同时《梅椿》、《寿桃》壁饰印于陈列室样本宣传册，并在《人民日报》海外版刊登。有多个新作品有客商订货，为厂创外汇多次。

1988年，创新的“寿桃壁饰”组荣获江苏省四新产品一等奖，已为8级技工。

1989年，创新的“松春壁饰”荣获江苏省第六届新产品金奖。

1990年，荣获中华人民共和国轻工业部颁发的从事工艺美术行业工作三十年的荣誉证书。

1992年有厂部派往香港、韩国、及东南亚参加“宜兴紫砂精品展”。中央电视台七台、广州电视台、羊城处处有故典、江苏台、山东台、河北台、紫砂台大师说器等多家媒体专题报道。

1993年，创新《色泥塑形壶》荣获江苏省科技专利博览会金奖，多件作品被博物馆、中南海紫光阁收藏。近年来紫砂新作不断，深受海内外紫砂爱好者青睐，并争相收藏。

2009年，《双龙报喜壶》、《宝鼎》、《夺魁》被定为国礼。

2011年“质量万里行走进陶都”被誉为时代楷模，传授技艺于子女艺徒，并在创新制作中。

2013年江苏省有线数字电视博览江苏栏目推荐著名紫砂工艺大师。

2014年，授予江苏普济工艺爱心单位。

2015年，已徒艺紫砂行业60年。

Mr. Ni Shunsheng, the National Senior Industrial Artist, the Master of Crafts & Arts of Jiangsu Province, a member of China Arts and Crafts Academy and of China Arts and Crafts Institute, a member of China Industrial Design Association, the director of China Yixing Red Stoneware Culture Research Association , the Senior Surveyor of Luo Dan Pot Art Association of American, the Senior Advisor of China Yixing Red Stoneware collection appreciation Specialized Committee, the Honorary President of Red Stoneware Committee of Shandong Province Tea Culture.

In 1938, was born in a pot maker family in Dingshu County of Yixing City. He studied pot making from his father Ni Xianglin and Shao Baoqin.

In 1954, worked in Yixing Shushan Ceramics Cooperatives (which the former name was the Red Stoneware Art Manufacturer), learn from Master Zhu Kexin, as well as the guidance of Mr. Pei Shimin. Ranked in the first when he was a student then.

In 1958, he had his own students. He was the tutor of the first group student who were then studied in Zisha Middle School and transferred to the manufacturer. He taught the students the skills of making red stoneware. He also assisted the students Qian Wusheng to reform the instruments and awarded by the authorities in the manafucturer. 

In 1960, with the lead of the Master of Zhu Kexin, Wang Yanxian and he went to Beijing to attend the National Crafts and Arts Seminar which is organized by Ministry of Light Industry.

In 1961, his work “Wufu Pantao Pot” attended the first reform movements of the technology which organized by Yixing Ceramics Company, and awarded the title of “the Only Master” by the Red Stoneware Art Manufacturer.

In 1963, to improve the skills of the tutors in this manufacturer, all the tutors came back to the Master Zhu Kexin to study.  Ni Shunsheng, Cao Wanfang, Xu chengquan and another two tutors made a big progression in the skills.

In 1983, the manufacturer added a semi-finished workshop in order to develop the semi-finished red stoneware. He worked as the master of the tutor, in charge four classes which contains of around one hundred students. During this period, he renovated the current kinds and improved the quality of the products.

In 1987, he joined the research institution of the manufacturer to renovate the designs of the products. He finished “Die Lian Hua (Love of Butterflies)”, “Xia Yue (Music in Summer)” “Wufu Pantao (Fortunes of Flat Peaches)”,  “Shun Quan (Springs)” etc. Meanwhile, “Mei Chun (the Plum and the Tree of Heaven)” and ”Shou Tao (Peaches of Longevity)” which were decorated as mural published in manuals displayed in the showroom, and also published in overseas version of People’s Daily. Many orders from overseas were from the new collections, boosted foreign currency earnings many times.

In 1988, renovated “Murals of Peaches of Longevity” awarded the first prize of new products in Jiangsu Province, and promoted as the eighth-level technician.

In 1990, awarded the certificate of honor working for 30 years in crafts and arts industry by the Ministry of Light Industry of the PRC .

In 1992, represented the manufacturer to attend the “Yixing Red Stoneware Exhibition” which held in Hongkong, South Korea, and Southeast Asia. CCTV Channel 7 , Guangzhou TV Station, Stories Everywhere in Yangcheng Program, Jiangsu TV Station, Shandong TV Station, Hebei TV Station and Red Stoneware Masters Commentary Program broadcasted the special report.

In 1993, his work “Seni Suxing Hu (Pot shaped by colored clay) ” awarded the golden prize of Jiangsu Technology Patents Expo. Many other works were collected by National Museum and Ziguange in Zhongnanhai. Red stoneware renovated much in recent years, and adored by many domestic and international amateurs , and competed to collect them.

In 2009, his works ,“ Shuanglong Baoxi Hu (Glad Dragons Pot)”, “Bao Ding” and “Duo Kui (Winner)” were treated as national gifts.

In 2011, “Zhiliang Wanli Xingzou Jin Taodu” was praised the role models, taught his skills to his children and students, and make them into new works.

In 2013, was recommended by Famous Crafts and Arts Masters Program in Jiangsu Province which broadcasted by Jiangsu Cable TV.

In 2014, the manufacturer was awarded the kind hearted organization of Jiangsu Puji Crafts and Arts.

In 2015, Ni Shunsheng has been majored in red stoneware industry for 60 years.
